WESDUN is a manufacturer specializing in the production of Electromagnetic Flow Meter;Installation;Full Pipe Requirement.Per the electromagnetic flow meter’s measurement principle, its measuring tube must stay fully filled with the measured liquid, and the liquid level must rise above the electrode plane. If the pipe runs empty during measurement, the meter cannot capture accurate data—its converter will enter a random working state. This randomness may manifest as a stable zero reading, an over-full-scale value, or continuous fluctuations in the displayed data, all of which render the measurement invalid.
When installing the sensor on plastic pipes or pipes with insulating linings, ensure the sensor has reliable grounding. You must equip both ends of the sensor with a grounding ring, grounding flange, or a short pipe fitted with a grounding electrode. This setup eliminates static interference and ensures the sensor can accurately detect the electromagnetic signal generated by the liquid flow, preventing measurement errors caused by poor grounding;
Install the flow meter in a well-ventilated area. Keep it away from direct sunlight (to avoid overheating) and rain (to prevent water damage to internal components). Maintain the ambient temperature between -20℃ and +60℃, and control relative humidity below 85%. These conditions protect the meter’s electronic components from extreme temperatures and moisture, ensuring long-term stable operation.
When installing the electromagnetic flow meter,the following positions should be avoided :
Gas gathering point
avoid bubbles from gathering
Partial pipe
ensure full pipe state during measurement
Siphon port
No siphoning
Pre-valve
regulating valve should be installed downstream of flow meter
Post-pump
install pump upstream to eliminate negative pressure
