This type water meter is a flow meter used to measure the total volume of water flowing through the tap water pipe, and can be equipped with remote transmission.

Features
- Excellent performance at small flows: The propeller-type impeller is placed vertically and supported by a tungsten steel tip, improves the wear resistance of the water meter and reduces friction resistance.
- Strong anti-fouling performance: Built-in stainless steel water strainer, eliminating the cost and trouble of installing a separate filter.
- Online detachable structure design, so that the maintenance workload of the water meter is reduced to a minimum. The water meter can work normally under the conditions of poor water quality environment. If necessary, the full set of movement can be pulled out at the installation site to quickly clean up the debris.
- Measure range width:The outer diameter of the propeller impeller is larger than the nominal diameter, it can withstand a larger flow rate, and its small flow performance is superior, so the range ratio is naturally greatly widened, which can actually reach 200 times.
- Long Service life:The large impeller has a low speed design, the impeller rotates slowly, and all rotating parts are made of wear-resistant materials, thus ensuring the metering performance for a long time.
- The straight pipe section requirements before and after the water meter are greatly reduced, making it easier to install in a narrow space.
- The wet liquid seal structure has clear readings, good sensitivity and is anti-magnetic. At the same time, there is also a magnetic transmission dry structure, which can be equipped with direct reading remote transmission and signal transmission components to make direct reading remote transmission water meters and signal transmission water meters. Customers can customize them according to requirements.
Selection/ installation and Use

- The diameter of the water meter should be selected according to the flow rate at the installation location, cannot be determined simply by the pipe diameter. As long as there is not a long-term and continuous large flow rate, the caliber of this water meter can be determined according to the pipe diameter.
- Necessary straight pipe sections or equivalent water flow rectifiers must be installed upstream and downstream of the water meter. The requirement is U10D5. The length of the upstream straight pipe section must be no less than 10D, and the length of the downstream straight pipe section must be no less than 5D (D is the nominal diameter of the water meter). For water flow rotation caused by three-dimensional elbows or centrifugal pumps, a rectifier must be installed in front of the straight pipe section.
- Before installing new pipes, be sure to clean the stones, sand, hemp and other debris in the pipes before installing the water meter to avoid water meter malfunction. Generally, there is no need to install a filter.
- The water meter must be installed horizontally, otherwise it will affect the accuracy of small flow. When installing, pay attention to the consistency of the water flow and the direction of the arrow on the water meter case. Valves should be installed upstream and downstream of the water meter. When the water is first passed, be sure to open the valve slowly and open it completely when the pipe is full of water.
- If necessary, a bypass can be set up next to the water meter to ensure that the water supply is not cut off when the water meter is removed and installed.
- If the water meter is installed at the boiler water inlet pipe, hot water back flow should be prevented from scalding the water meter.
- Please note: The reading of 150mm and 200mm diameter water meters should be 10 times the reading of the displayed wheel – this is marked “X10” on the dial.
- For water meters above DN100, appropriate channels should be reserved to transport the water meter to the working position or remove it. In addition, appropriate space should be reserved around the working position to install lifting equipment.
- When the water meter is not buried, at least 700mm of free space should be left above the water meter and its related pipes.
- To prevent the water meter from being impacted or vibrated by the pipeline, possible factors causing vibration should be removed before installation. If necessary, flexible joints should be installed on the pipeline. For DN150 and DN200 water meters, soft cushions should be used to isolate the base and fixtures from the foundation.
Common water meter faults and solutions:
- The water output is significantly reduced: it may be low water pressure or filter screen is clogged, the water meter and filter need to be cleaned.
- The water meter stops running: it may be foreign matter stuck in the impeller, parts are worn or damaged, the water meter parts need to be replaced. The above water meter faults must be handled by qualified personnel and re-calibrated before installation and use.
